Wiltshire Oak – Ancient Forests

Savernake in Wiltshire is the only area of ancient forest that it not owned by the Crown Estate. It is famous for a 1000 year old oak tree called the Big Belly oak. Folklore has it that the devil can be summoned by anyone dancing naked around the tree.
