Gloucestershire Home of the First Conservatory

In 1806 John Nash designed a conservatory for Sir James Musgrove at his home at Barnsley Park near Cirencester. Supported on 26 Ionic Columns, it demonstrates the usual symmetry associated with Georgian Design and marked the change from orangery to conservatory design in England.
