Oxfordshire Oak – Stately Homes

Stonor House was the residence of the Stonor family for over 800 years. Lord and Lady Camoys now live there. The house was started in the 12th century but largely built two centuries later. It was remodelled in a Georgian style in the 18th century and is noted for its distinctive collections of drawings from Italy, fine tapestries, portraits and unique furniture. The House is located in a pretty wood valley within the Chilterns, and includes large gardens and a traditional deer park, which host a number of ancient oak trees.
