Staffordshire Oak – Boscobel House

Situated on the Staffordshire and Shropshire borders, Boscobel House has its place firmly in the annuals of British history. After the battle of Worcester, Charles II fled for his life to Boscobel House. He is said to have hid and evade capture in a huge hollow oak tree. He later proclaimed the oak. The Royal Oak.
