EXAMPLES OF AONB

National Association for AONBs provide a full list and a map of all the AONB in England & Wales. They include areas such as the Chilterns, Cotswolds, Isle of Wight, Malvern Hills, Norfolk Coast, North Pennines, Sussex Downs and the Gower Peninsula.

If you are unsure whether you live within the boundaries of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you can check a map and if still unsure check with your Local Authority. This is particularly important if you live on or close to the boundary of an AONB, because even if you are some way outside it you can still be bound by the building regulations since there may be view to your property from within it.
