DOME CONSERVATORY

Domed conservatory refers to two different attributes of conservatory design.

Traditionally a domed conservatory referred to a grand design like that at the Great Conservatory at Syon Park.

More recently however, a domed conservatory has begun to refer to a dome-shaped roof light inserted into a flat roof of an orangery or conservatory orangery. It is usually a polycarbonate structure with a slightly domed peek to allow rain to drain from it. This can be clear or opaque.
