FRONT OF PROPERTY CONSERVATORY

Most councils consider that conservatories are more suited to the rear or sometimes side positions when attached to the existing property where they can enhance the house and the garden by providing living space.

Unless you have a property with a very large front garden some distance from the highway, a conservatory at the front of your home may not achieve this suitability because you will be exposed to public view and additionally, the conservatory is likely to out-of-place.

However, if the front of the property is where the most sun will be and this is what you are seeking, a compromise may be reached. A Orangery Conservatory built on a brick surround will provide some degree of privacy that is impossible to achieve when the glazing is entirely from roof to ground.

An experienced conservatory designer and installer will be able to advise you and let you know the best way to approach the local authority with your plans.
