FROSTED GLASS

Frosted glass, also known as etched glass, patterned glass, obscured glass and bathroom glass, is useful in a conservatory on the sides where privacy is an issue. For similar reasons, it can also be used in the roof of a conservatory if it is overlooked from upper windows.

It can also be used for decorative effect and is available in a variety of patterns and tints. It can also be etched with a sandblaster in different finishes. The patterned side is usually placed facing inwards so that atmospheric grime can easily be removed from the flat outward facing side. In double–glazed units both the inside and outside can be flat, with the patterned side in the middle of the sandwich.
