Not exactly as the Romans used to heat their homes, but working on a similar principle, hot water underfloor heating works by channelling hot water through plastic pipes under the floor of the conservatory.
Hot water underfloor heating can be a good heating option if your water boiler has the capacity to meet the extra demand likely to be placed on it. Like electric underfloor heating, it allows you to design the interior of the conservatory without worrying about the positioning and placement of wall hung radiators.
However, you will need to accommodate extra plumbing from your existing central heating system and perhaps valves to control the flow of hot water to other radiators in your home.
In summer you might prefer not to run your central heating system just to heat your conservatory, in which case electric underfloor heating might be the more sensible option.
