SLIDING DOOR CONSERVATORY

Sliding doors for conservatories are available in a number of different types:

  • Concertina doors
  • Folding Doors
  • Sliding doors, like a Patio door

All allow extra ventilation into the conservatory compared with the usual French Doors and they can be fully opened on hot days and just partially open on other days.

Concertina doors and folding doors will allow more ventilation than a Patio style sliding door that will slide in sections but still leave part of the conservatory shut even when fully opened.

It is important to choose a good quality sliding mechanism that will run smoothly as double glazed doors can be heavy and difficult to move. You might need to close them quickly if the weather changes to rain!
