Laminate Conservatory Floors

conservatory-flooringLaminate flooring copies the look of a traditional wood floor and is relatively easier to install than a real wood floor. Some of the latest laminate floors are difficult to distinguish from real hardwood floors and they are certainly cheaper to buy than the real alternatives.

A laminate floor is usually a three-tier sandwich. The top layer that looks like real wood is typically a tough melamine skin over a photographic image of wood grain. This top layer is tough and difficult to stain or scratch and is in turn bonded to a moisture resistant wood core on a bonded backing.

Laminate floorings main advantages are that it is easy to install and you are no longer restricted to just wood look floors. A whole variety of laminates are now available that mimic tiles and natural stone.
