Paul Fitzgerald - Richmond Oak

Paul, spent 9 years teaching architectural & engineering drawing, building & workshop practice, and has been responsible for the design and construction of conservatories, orangeries and garden rooms since 1986. He is closely involved with our designers and will personally ensure you will be happy with your finished project.

He retired in 2001, but within 18 months was back working as a consultant with several National Brand conservatory businesses. Paul was just beginning to get despondent about the lack of service being provided by these firms when he came across Richmond Oak Ltd and immediately fell in love with their unique bespoke, seasoned oak conservatories and orangeries.
Whilst Richmond Oak wasn’t perfect, he worked for 3 years as their senior conservatory designer, enjoying the smaller business model and the freedom to design without the constraints of the larger companies. In August 2008 the opportunity arose to acquire the business.

Paul has a passion for Napoleonic & American Civil War history, with a collection of books that will take a lifetime to read. He played the drums in numerous rock & roll bands during the 60's, 70's and 80's, with a claim to fame of supporting The Who at a gig in Hastings. Currently learning to play Blues guitar.
