Conservatory Heating

heating-conservatoriesIf you wish to enjoy your conservatory on cool summer evenings and on winter days, you will need to consider how you can heat the conservatory and what method is likely to be most cost-efficient.

Heat escapes through a double glazed conservatory window eight times faster than through a conventional cavity wall, so no matter what energy you use to heat your conservatory it is going dissipate more quickly than other rooms in your home.

There are some steps you can take to remedy this. In good sunlight your conservatory will warm up during the day and window blinds can trap the heat inside the conservatory when night falls. Roof vents should be closed since heat rises and you don’t want it to escape and windows should be shut as well.
